I gotta say I'm relieved that the election is over,it feels like it went on way too long.I had hoped for a different result but here we stand looking out into a new day.I took the time yesterday to watch John McCain's speech in which he proved to me again to be a true American hero and leader of people. He could have easily blamed the outcome of the election on the media bias, voter registration fraud or any other number of excuses for not winning the election.John McCain did exactly what a true leader does,he gave full credit to his opponent and his team and excepted full responsibility for his mistakes and failures.
I have to admit I had to force myself to watch Barack Obamas acceptance speech.I'm a fan of history and this is a very big time in our country's history but after almost 2 years of this guys hot air I wasn't sure I could handle any more. One thing's for sure the guy gives one helluva good speech.
Now that the curtains have opened and the spot lights are on, I'm very interested to see what the future president and the Democrats will do as compared to what they've been telling the American people during the campaign's.They only have a couple months left of being able to blame everything that's wrong in the world on President Bush.Today like most everyday I'm, willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, talk is cheap and its time for them to walk the walk.I will admit that I have them on a short leash and will speak out when they act against my beliefs after all they work for you and me,the American people, they are there to reflect and act on our behalf not for their own personal agendas.
